You can almost hear the echoes of past grandeur in this fine old building which was once the Parkhotel, Pontresina. This 19th century landmark played host to countless elegant holidays in the days when winter sports were first emerging in the Alps.

Although empty for some years, its enduring solid structure now breathes with new life: the old hotel has been transformed into an exquisite group of just 20 spacious apartments. Many have already been taken, but a limited number of opportunities remain to own a 3 or 4-bedroomed apartment there. Or indeed you could combine more than one and gain even more living space, or add a studio for your guests – the possibilities are endless.
Pontresina has a rather more relaxed atmosphere than the glitter of its neighbour St. Moritz, just five minutes away. It is also a quick shuttle hop from the main ski areas of Celerina and Diavolezza. Surrounded by the highest peaks of the Eastern Alps, and with an altitude of over 1800m, Pontresina enjoys the longest evening sun in the whole valley. This is mountain living at its purest best.
