Ferrari 488 GTB

"GTB" stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta

3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine

The Ferrari 488 GTB is a high-performance sports car first unveiled by the iconic Italian automaker Ferrari at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show. The two-seater coupe marked a significant milestone for the company as it was their first car to use a turbocharged V8 in a mid-engine setup.

The «488» in the car’s moniker indicates the engine’s unitary displacement, while «GTB» stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta, referencing its body style. At its heart is a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, an engineering masterpiece with an astounding 661 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Equipped with Ferrari’s patented Side Slip Angle Control system, the 488 GTB can hit 0-60 mph in just 3.0 seconds and has a top speed of over 205 mph. Its superior performance is complemented by a sleek and aerodynamically efficient exterior design that boasts a 50 percent increase in downforce over its predecessor, the Ferrari 458.
The 488 GTB provides a driver-oriented cockpit with controls clustered on the race-inspired steering wheel. The car also features a high-end infotainment system and high-quality materials throughout.

Although no longer in production since the cut-off in 2021, the Ferrari 488 GTB remains a highly sought-after vehicle for car enthusiasts and collectors due to its combination of performance, elegance, and the prestigious Ferrari badge.
